People can hate on Lana all they want, but she’s a breath of fresh air in today’s musical landscape. Who wants another entertainer like Katy Perry or Gaga who make generic dance-pop and get most of their press for their outfits rather than their music. I’m aware that Lana has a team behind her as well, but her kind of sad-girl Lolita vibe is at least different than everything being shoved down our throats right now. And she has sex appeal and charm, which you really can’t manufacture. You either have it or you don’t.

Lana Del Rey’s “Born To Die” album has exceeded my expectations. The haters can’t even hate, because the music speaks for itself.

I love Lana Del Rey but her performance on SNL last night made me cringe a little bit. Come on girl, we’re rooting for you! Blow us away!
